Position Objective :

This position provides project leadership and direction for the completion of strategic corporate initiatives. The Senior Project Manager provides overall administrative project direction, coordination, status, integrated project planning, tracking and control, and effectively administers all facets of the project. This includes providing leadership to individuals and groups, including external consultants, who are assigned to the project. The initial project assignment for this position will be the implementation of the global PeopleSoft ERP system.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree and PMI certification required.

Experience and Skills Required:

Qualified candidates will have the technical, project management, and project leadership skills required to engage people, facilitate, and build clarity and commitment to project objectives. Additionally, they will have a minimum of ten years of project management experience which includes full project life cycle accountability toward the implementation of significant strategic corporate initiatives.

Experience that includes project management within global companies is highly desirable. Experience as the Project/Program leader for a major ERP system, with a budget of $10MM is required. JD Edwards/Peoplesoft Experience is preferred. Familiarity with all aspects of implementations, including architecture, application development and infrastructure is needed. Comprehension and skills with using project management software, such as Microsoft Project, is required.

Additional knowledge is needed in change management systems, and operation and financial systems concepts. Lastly, he/she must have evidence of strong planning and organization skills, and be adept at managing project teams and stakeholders, through excellent communications skills.

This position requires a versatile individual who brings good instincts about priority and is able to reflect the appropriate level of urgency in a demanding global business environment. He/she must be able to assist groups in coming to consensus, but also be a solid decision-maker. Lastly, the successful candidates will have effectively performed in a highly matrixed organization structure, and in cross-functional, co-located teams, including external professional service partners.
