Position Objective :
The purpose of this position is to generate value and drive revenues through leveraging existing technologies, inside the current manufacturing environment, by developing new product offerings to new markets spaces and players, specifically within the retail disposable apparel product arena. The relevant elements to make the connection between the retail limited use apparel market and a fit to the company's technology are: the key differentiators of the technology and expertise, value chain analysis, market analysis and business potential. He/she must identify these next application opportunities, within North America, and then transform these projects to successful new businesses, through a compelling business case with a clear market entrance strategy.

Education:
Qualified candidates must have a BA or BS in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or Science. A MBA is preferred.
Experience and Skills Required:
Qualified candidates will have ten years of product or market development experience working with semi-finished materials in a B2B sales and marketing environment. Experience and knowledge of product and market development in the retail apparel markets and the textile industry is a plus. Prior experience in a product development role working with active sports wear companies, such as Nike, Adidas, Sara Lee, New Balance, Patagonia, Speedo, etc. is desired. This includes a strong understanding of woven textiles and polymer engineered solution-based elastic technology products such as Lycra and Spandex. His/her experiences will have included the full lifecycle product development experience in scoping, designing, developing, deploying, and supporting product applications.
The successful candidate will have a unique capacity to understand the capabilities of technology to solve a particular business problem or create business opportunity. He/she will be competent in translating business issues into customer solutions. This individual must be proficient in creating cross-functional, cross-organizational teams with the customer to identify, prioritize, and design solutions for business requirements.
This role requires an adept and disciplined project manager with experience managing teams on highly complex projects with rapid results and a sense of urgency, from solution concept to execution. The background of the candidate will include a consistent record of achievement in increasing sales and market share by identifying and capitalizing on new markets, and leveraging opportunities in existing markets.
This position requires strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to provide product cost analysis information and develop comprehensive business case and plans. The successful candidate will have very strong quantitative analysis skills to lend insight to highly ambiguous and sensitive business problems.
