Summary:

Directs all financial, information technology and business analysis activities of the organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for the complete and accurate preparation of all division internal financial statements (statements of net assets, income, cash flow and economic profit by business unit), business reporting and analysis, domestic and international Provides succinct summary reports that provide a clear picture of the business, key trends and segment performance.

Responsible for the computerized financial systems, controls and processes of the organization, including cost and business reporting systems.

Responsible for the Credit and Collection function.

Supports preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans with accurate and timely financial information. Proactively questions and validates key underlying assumptions. Benchmarks Films against comparable businesses to access relative performance and areas for improvement.

Supports preparation of capital projects with accurate and timely financial information, understands key assumptions and critical variables on capital projects. Responsible for maintenance of all capital asset records. Implements a capital expenditures prioritization process to support strategic goals and postpone non-strategic spending.

Is a key member of the business development team providing information when requested and working to help analyze the outcome of any potential deals involving Films.

Proactively supports the business and the president by pointing out trends, concerns, or general business observations. Initiates recommendations and action plans to address significant issues. Supports president with action-oriented bias to help lead required changes.

Directs and leads information technology to be a more strategic business partner. Drives full utilization of new J. D. Edwards financial systems and develops succinct, meaningful management reports and business analysis to support the Films decision making. Proactively initiates training for financial and non-financial managers in the use of the new systems and management reporting.

Supports the ERP roll-out by acting as the team lead for finance and providing overall guidance and counsel to Films on process and implementation.

Applies basic business valuation principles to key segments and proactively addresses ways to capture maximum value through internal growth, acquisition or divestiture/redeployment of non-core assets.

Drives cost reduction efforts across the division consistent with Films strategic goals.

Visits all Films outlying locations at least once per year

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

CPA and MBA required, and Information Technology degree- a plus. Minimum of four years Public Accounting experience and three to five years manufacturing experience with general and cost accounting, internal financial reporting, international exposure required. Must have lead both IT and Finance successfully in previous positions. Peoplesoft or other ERP experience required.

Communication Ability:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial information and trends, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers. Ability to work well in small groups.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical, statistical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to find simple solutions to complex business and financial issues.

Computer Skills:

Word processing, spreadsheets, accounting software, Internet software and E-mail knowledge required.
